NoteARCIDAE - Barbatia reeveana (Orbigny, 1876). EXTRAORDINARY ELEGANT PERIOSTRACUM AND UNCOMMON SPECIES!! Hard to get virtually nowadays. Long hair intact periostracum, for all around lip sides. Size with periostracum 45.5mm . Exquisite multiple radial ribs all around combined with commarginal sculpture, the best of the best for the species with the most dense periostracum you will have. F+++-Gem. Live collected, and curved middle lip sides as usual using this for eating and as attachment. Found buried between stones in mud about 3m deep. Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. July 2026.
