Atypically rich colour: densely reticulate external surface pattern in vivid yellow, traversed by two prominent, broad spiral bands of orange, in an intricate design of the highest aesthetic merit, formed with the utmost regularity and clarity. RARE QUALITY – virtual PERFECTION. Hypermature, with incredibly thickened shell walls, and consequent solidity and weight; greatly thickened and glossed apertural lip. Impeccably curated across the decades, with as fresh an appearance as if collected this year. Not freshly collected for two decades, and unlikely to ever be freshly collected again, outstanding large specimens have become highly prized ‘collector’s items’.
