| Size | 71.1 mm |
| Locality | Australia |
| Note | One of the FINEST specimens ever collected of the extreme deep-water, very seldom offered WESTERN AUSTRALIAN FORM. Very rare PERFECTION. Very large size. Beautiful subtle colour, with a pinkish tinge to the ground, and yellowish straw accents at the peristome. Quite different from the more readily available China Sea form. Examples of the Western Australian form were only collected during the 1980s, and exceedingly few are of the perfection of the current specimen, upon account of the delicacy of the shell, and the trawling process. Data: Off Port Hedland, Pilbara Region, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand/gravel substrate; 500-600 m; trawled; 1986. Size: 71.1 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne. |
