| Note | Extremely rare golden variant of the subspecies 'elodiae', only around one in 10,000 shells carry this rare rufinistic gene. Highly prized by local collectors, these are only occasionally collected amongst the nominal individuals in the population. No flaws I can see, however there is a small spot of iron staining on the underside of the shell which I believe can be cleaned off ~ F+++. Live collected buried in sand trail during low tide, 2019.
