| Note | Impressive large specimen from an older collection showing strong coffee/chestnut radiating color with exquisite white color banding. Striking specimen with sharp swept back spines on varix edges, clear nodulated spire, intact protoconch and aperture lip. A once rare collector's choice back in the days. Trapped by local fisherman using a tangle net at 100-200 meters Samal Island, Davao, Philippines in the mid-eighties. The specimen displays a small chip of the siphonal canal towards the terminus. Grade: F+++. |
