| Note | Broadly fusiform specimen with a massive body whorl with six intact spinose varices. The primary white colored body whorl is complemented with a balanced array of radiating chestnut brown/black pigmented spiral cords complemented by loosely foliated spines. The shell has a distinguishing dark seamless siphonal canal with a standout brown pinstripe that frames the porcelain aperture. The specimen was harvested by Scuba diver on the side on Boulders at 8-10 meters north of Manzanillo, Jalisco, Mexico in 10/2016. The shell has slight erosion on some of the spine tips and a small nick on siphonal canal terminus. Grade: F++/F+++. |
