NoteHeavy, inflated and hard to find large specimen from the Andaman Sea (35.6 grams). The sheall features an integrated and well distributed light tope symmetrical spotting on a camel brown dorsal landscape with a clean wide mantle line highlighting the impact of this specimen. Larger than most specimens from this area. The shell features thick margins, glossy nacre, flawless extremities and cream brown colored base. Very desirable and prominent example of the species with an outstanding rarely seen display of starry spotting/maculae pattern. Live trawled in 10/1984 at 10 meters by fisherman in the Andaman Sea off Thailand. The shell shows a soft growth fold (not palpable) on the mid-labral lateral wall/anterior ramp and a faint tattoo on the mid-labral base and margin, not considered a defect. Grade: F+++/GEM.
