NoteExceptionally thick margins and a mature, hyper-glazed specimen from the black Stansbury population. The specimen is accentuated by a dorsal black /chocolate brown color veil and meandering dorsal line. The atrata displays remarkable symmetrical form and balance. Moderate weight/size ratio with a beautiful base pattern (51.0 grams). The nacre lustre on this shell is exceptional. The specimen displays perfect siphons, base and hyper-black lateral walls. The specimen was nabbed by Scuba diver at 4-5 meters sitting on a red sponge planted on a limestone reef off Stansbury, South Australia in the 90s. The atrata displays no visible or palpable defects. Grade: GEM.
