| Note | Magnificent and solid fresh specimen with an amazing distribution of spotting and a deep glossy nacre that makes it a real eye-catcher and highly collectable. The outstanding bright white spots are tightly arranged and focused on both lateral walls, with a generous dispersion of spots on the dorsum showing a classic wide dorsal line. The shell features remarkable form and color with three faint dorsal bands fused into the main body. The moderate size/weight ratio (102.0 grams) and superb pattern contribute to the collectability of the specimen. Recently collected in a lobster trap off Dry Tortugas, Key West, Florida in 6/2026 at 60-80 meters. There is an over-glazed small soft palpable wobble on the mid-labral lateral wall. Grade: F+++/GEM minus. |
