| Note | Classic heavy, massive and well inflated hyper-glossy Hawaiian tiger. The shell has typical huge leopard spotting painted over a deep multicoloured primary color bed with a distinct and impressive wavy red-brown mantle line favouring the labral incline. The dorsum coloration includes blue/grey/violet hues on the dorsum and lavender/blue on the lateral walls. Porcelain white base with perfect teeth with major large lateral wall spots evident. The shell exhibits perfect siphons, base and teeth with an impressive weight/size ratio (216.9 grams). The shell is a collectors piece with intense nacre gloss and creates a dramatic visual impact due to the profound pigmentation. Captured by Scuba diver off Nanakuli, Oahu, Hawaii in 1/2019. Taken from its home at 15 meters on a night dive live cruising along an open coral ledge among sponges and anemones. The schilderiana has a palpable short wobble on the mid columellar side at the dorsum/lateral intersection and smaller blemishes covering the dorsum seen under magnification. Grade: F++/F+++. |
