| Note | Superbly nacred, inflated, and uniquely pattered specimen with remarkable deep sandstone/bronze pigmented dorsal spotting painted on a beige/nude primary pigmented background. The shell exhibits perfect cream chocolate/pale taupe tan extremities with a cream apricot/ tan fringed base. Remarkable pale flesh/tan/beige thick rounded margins with sparse lateral wall spotting complement this distinctive specimen. The shell has flawless extremites, base and aperture teeth. Freshly caught in May by Scuba diver Callum Edinger at 24-26 meters from the South Eastern population off Starvation Bay, Western Australia in 5/2026 while relaxing between meals on various sponges. Original handwritten data slip from Callum included. The venusta shows growth folds on the anterior ramp and a smaller wooble on the posterior ramp. Grade: F++/F+++. |
