| Note | One of the BEST specimens I have ever encountered of this singular, striking, endemic Vietnamese species. Extremely large size. Atypically elevated spire. Ultra-rich colour: broad spiral bands of dark chocolate and tan, with an additional, atypical ultra-fine spiral band of dark caramel. Completely NATURAL apertural lip, with no typical artificial smoothing – very important for the landsnail specialist. NOTE: The species was believed to be extinct, until rediscovered in southern Vietnam in 2012. Although extant within a restricted region, a variety of threats to its habitat has diminished the population, although several captive breeding programs are underway.
