| Note | A decent specimen of the northern form of rosselli, which is scarce nowadays. From an old collection. Has a minor oblique growth disruption within the central window but is otherwise excellent. By diver, 18-21m deep. Canals are perfect, I've examined them under a microscope. A tiny orange dot on the columella posterior side margin, but otherwise blemish free. Very dark cowries are hard to photograph and I've done this quickly, so some reflections from lights, USB cables, etc. My Canon also renders the photos too red by default, the window is brownish rather than reddish. |
