| Note | Beautiful brown shell, distinguished by a striking black line bordering the entire spire and retaining part of its natural periostracum. The specimen features a thick, perfectly preserved lip, an unmistakable indication of full maturity. A natural perforation is present on the dorsal surface, adding an authentic field characteristic to this otherwise exceptionally attractive shell. Collected fresh among the leaf litter of an Andean forest at an elevation of 2,620 meters above sea level in January 2026. Its high-elevation provenance, mature morphology, well-preserved periostracum, and distinctive coloration make this a particularly appealing specimen for the discerning malacological collector. An excellent opportunity to acquire a beautiful and naturally preserved Andean shell in an international auction, where specimens combining mature morphology, attractive patterning, and high-altitude provenance are always worthy of special attention. |
