| Note | A magnificent superglobose specimen, distinguished by an extraordinarily broad aperture in proportion to its body whorl. The shell is completely devoid of periostracum, allowing its remarkable natural coloration to be fully appreciated. The aperture is particularly expanded and bordered by a thick brown outer lip, while much of the shell displays an exceptionally attractive, intense violet pigmentation, rarely encountered in this species. The specimen presents a dorsal perforation caused by impact, as can be seen in the photograph; however, this does not detract from the beauty or overall aesthetic appeal of this extraordinary shell. Collected by local inhabitants in January 2026 among the leaf litter of humid Andean forest in the department of Santander, Colombia, at an altitude of 1,550 metres above sea level. Continuous deforestation and logging throughout the Colombian Andes have made specimens of this quality increasingly difficult to locate, considerably enhancing their desirability and collector value on the international malacological market.
