Item# 0004293332
FamilyMitridae
NameStrigatella tristis - FANTASTIC DWARF BEAUTY!! , (Broderip, 1836)
Size15.2 mm
LocalityBarra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mex.
NoteUNUSUAL DWARF SIZE!! SPECIAL PATTERN LINES AND DARK COLOR FORM WOOOW!! This Mitra species is getting hard to find nowadays and even more in dwarf sizes. Almost never perfect, they love the places with strong currents and big waves, so scars and damage are always presents. Here a great really small dwarf with superb adult conditions and thick lip and with the best lines pattern all around the shoulder-spire between gray, white and brownish color. Intact lip, complete apex and siphon. Some tiny scar in the ventral side almost lost between the pattern, otherwise Gem. Really selected in situ. F+++. Found buried between large stones with mud and brown soft corals about 3m deep. Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. August 2026. Estimated value between 12-15 euro. Good luck and Happy shelling!!!
