Chama hicksi is a relatively recently described species of marine bivalve mollusk belonging to the family Chamidae (commonly known as jewel boxes). Formally described in 2010 by Paul Valentich-Scott and Eugene V. Coan, this species was historically misidentified as Chama sordida for over 160 years. Extremely similar than the one on the Conchology.be - Amazing undulated wide FLOWERING scales with exquisite Pink-Purplish colors combined with white, so elegant and so beautiful. A real Museum piece with the most exceptional jewel conditions. Gem. Hard to get this rare species and for all in top conditions and special color.
