Exceedingly few specimens are known exhibiting this combination of size and quality. The overwhelming majority of specimens are small, subadult examples, with poorly developed, twig-like varices, and ill-balanced proportions, and are decidedly unattractive aesthetically. Only when seen at the level of the current specimen – at the zenith of expression for the species – is its true nature apparent. Exceedingly well-preserved varices, with expansive, spatulate terminations to varical spines. Supremely balanced proportions. Minute, ultra-delicate protoconch INTACT – very important for the connoisseur. An extremely rare opportunity for a highly advanced Muricidae specialist to set their own price for one of the finest known specimens of this supreme rarity.
