| Note | NEW VARIETION FOR Cypraecassis coarctata WOOOOOW!! This is the first time I have encountered this type of variation in Cypraecassis in the Mexican Pacific, with a clear difference in the vertical patterns and no nodules. This is somewhat unusual for the species Cypraecassis coarctata. The black and brown spots are circular in shape and connected, forming continuous vertical-axial patterns, between white-brown elegant banding colors and micro white banding dense spots in the ventral side. The lip is between thin and thick. Intact lip, siphon and apex. The pattern is formed by the growth lines really not detracting this unique beauty. First time we have found this special form and pattern. For Cassidae lovers and scientists. Found buried between cracks with granulate sand in big stones about 6m deep. Isla Toriz, Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico. September 2026. Value for this unusual form and pattern, possibly a new variation: 35-40 euro. Good luck!! MEXICO PACIFIC |
