Littorina aspera AWESOME SPECIAL PATTERN!
12 mm     La Calechosa, Jalisco, Mexico.     2,00 €
Item# 0004320175
FamilyLittorinidae
NameLittorina aspera - AWESOME SPECIAL PATTERN!
Size12 mm, w/o
LocalityLa Calechosa, Jalisco, Mexico.
NoteSPECIAL VERTICAL BANDS AND SPIRAL BAND PATTERN!! This species generally lives directly on rocks exposed to the sun, inhabiting small crevices with water, but is usually active during the intertidal period when it receives direct sunlight. Smaller organisms tend to have more complete patterns and structures. Larger ones, like this one, always show signs of erosion; this is one of the best-preserved specimens found in the population and among the largest. Intact apex and lip, original operculum. Light erosion as usual for the species not really detracting this lovely piece. F++-F+++. Found attached on sharp rocks at extremely low tide. La Calechosa, Bahia de Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. September 2026. Estimated value between 10-12 euros. Good luck and Happy shelling!!! MEXICO PACIFIC
