Note

ORTHALICIDAE - Orthalicus muelleri (Strebel, 1909). RARE SPECIES AND SPECTACULAR DARK DREAM PATTERN!! This species is Native from Mexico. These are arboreal (tree-dwelling) land snails that inhabit tropical forests and humid vegetation. This is the first time I have ever found this species, I was walking with some friends on the mountains parallel to the coast for about 8 hours Hiking through the jungle, along rocky rivers, past waterfalls, and up mountains. Really intact Jungle and I have found this beauty on the way back in a big plant between the huge trees attached to the leaves. The pattern is just a Dream with the most elegant striped zig-zag banding pattern, really dark and fresh, live collected. The shell has a micro hole in the ventral spire side, found like this , and not really detracting this rare beauty. Very rare species, the only piece to offer. Found attached to the leaves of a large plant about 1m high from the floor. 3km north from la Calechola in the Virgen Jungle, Jalisco, Mexico. October 2026. Estimated value between 40-50 euros or more for such a rare and once in a lifetime chance. Good luck and Happy shelling!!! MEXICO PACIFIC
