| Note | WOW WOW!! MONSTER SIZE Patella mexicana!!! The best of the best, really nice lip and top Natural!!193x137mm approximately. Seldom seen with this incredible and rare rare size. Very natural conditions specimen on top fully with all kind of attachments with marine animals(Big Bernacles) VERY RARE NOWADAYS AND AT THIS SIZE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET!! Very interesting specimen. Difficult and dangerous to get them off. Took me about 2 years until i found a place where they live and how to take them off from stones ( between big waves). The fisherman would collect them for food and broke the shell to get the meat. They look for Oysters or Percebes and some times one P. mexicana is there, so they had to wait for the best day (calm day), otherwise its always wavy with a lot of currents and danger. And of course you need to go far from the coastline until you will find a good place for P. mexicana. Whit 193mm this is a very big and old specimen for the species and at this size its usually eroded and has pin holes, never gem, but this is about as good as they come. Some tiny chip in lip as usual. The ventral side is just fresh and amazing!!! Don't lose the opportunity, seldom offered with this amazing huge size!!!Estimation : 100- 150 euro.Found at night attached to the stones at high tide from 0m until 2m deep.
