| Note | Most andreyi we find are in the depth range 220 to 250 metres but occasionally we find a specimen in shallower water on top of the continental shelf. These are consistently smaller than their deeper water counterparts. This shell was collected fresh dead in 142 metres of water south of Augusta. It is pretty well gem other than it has an octopus drill hole in its base. Very heavy with a rich peach colored base. |
