| Note | MONSTER MONSTER. So nice beauty, massive and heavy. You are admiring the most thick lip i have ever collected, in all my carrier and even in other generations. Asking old divers they never found one like this. Very special exemplar in huge size. From my private collection. Extremely shinny ventral side , so fresh, so nice. RARE SPECIES!! Patella mexicana are really hard to get species believe me!!! !! from my private collection with 191mm with caliper. Really rare species in Mexico. Very natural conditions specimen on top with all kind of attachments . VERY RARE NOWADAYS!! Difficult and dangerous to get them off. Took me about 2 years until i found a place where they live and how to take them off from stones ( between big waves). The fisherman would collect them for food and broke the shell to get the meat. They look for Oysters or Percebes and some times one P. mexicana is there, so they had to wait for the best day (calm day), otherwise its always wavy with a lot of currents and danger. And of course you need to go far from the coastline until you will find a good place for P. mexicana. This species are usually eroded and has pin holes, never gem, but this is about as good as they come. The ventral side is just fresh shinny and amazing!!! Don't lose the opportunity, seldom offered with this amazing MONSTER SIZE and quality!!! Found attached to the rocks at high tide from 0m until 4m deep. Chalacatepec, Jalisco, Mexico.
