Note | A superb specimen of this now very difficult to obtain endemic, deep-water Queensland species. Exemplary quality for an ultra-delicate, deep-water trawled shell, with all-important bulbous protoconch intact, (lost upon the majority of specimens). Although numerous examples were collected during the legendary 1980s Queensland trawls, very few were of the level of quality of the current specimen. Now obtainable only from old collections. Size: 48.6 mm (length). Grading: F++++. Data: Off Cape Moreton, Queensland, Australia; upon sand substrate; 60-120 m; trawled; 1982. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
