Note | One very interesting specimen of the parasitic isopod parasite Ceratothoa gaudichaudii. This parasite settles in the oral cavity of some fishes in the southeastern Pacific, eating and replacing the tongue of the fishes, in particular in Trachyurus murphyi and in some salmons. This specimen was collected washed ashore, and it is preserved dry. |
