Conus Bandanus is a rather large Conus that lives from the shallow water zone to fairly deep. It is taken by divers as well as by tangle nets. This is the sister species of Conus marmoreus. Both species are "Fake common" shells, as in fact they are hard to find.
Philippines. Olango Island. Taken at 20-25 m. Collected by local fishermen. 2009.
