Note | Rarely collected albinistic variety of this prevalent Indian Ocean cone. The specimen demonstrates faint traces of the original pattern and excellent gloss of the body whorl. The shell was nabbed by a free-diver on a offshore reef off Rameswaram, India in 6/1978. Sourced from an older collection. The amadis shows a nicked protoconch, intact natural lip and one minor growth disruption on the mid-dorsal. Grade: F+++. |
