Note | Brilliantly colored specimen with rich dorsal hues, classic large lateral wall/marginal spotting, superb form and a super deep sparkling glassy nacre. Super shape with notable inflation with moderate rostration as viewed in the images. This shell demonstrates primary clay grey/blue primary hues dorsally. The specimen also shows mild marginal tuberculation with perfect extremities and an impressive glossy base. Harvested by Scuba diver at 15-20 meters sitting and feasting on sponges off Michaelmas Island, Albany, Western Australia in the mid-1990's. The shell shows a few subtle transverse and longitudinal subnacre folds dorsally and a light fold on the base. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
