| Note | A species that is rarely offered and particularly one that is a superb QUALITY specimen WITH A WONDERFUL GLASSY DORSUM. An obvious characteristic of the delicatura is the purple/blue interior colour(99.9%) compared to the cream/yellow interior of the eludens, let alone their petite size and pinched anterior canal. A specimen I have pulled out of an old collection forgotten in a box for a number of years. I believe one of the authors (Chandler & Du Ross) original specimens back in the mid 1990's. Graded GEM, cannot fault. Diver collected in 41 to 45M. in silt substrate on sand/shale bottom. Understandably I have used the extra images that shellauction offer to convey the features as best I can and of course with these extra images comes mandatory starting price of E200. ALL WHITE REFLECTIONS AND DULL AREAS ARE FROM THE CAMERA LIGHTING. |
