This is a strikingly beautiful and possibly unique colour variation. This is a crabbed specimen with an area of small chips on the anterior near the syphon. F++ This is a uniquely beautiful barthelemyi and a perfect pair with the spotted barthelemyi also offered this auction.
Collected 24.2.85 fresh dead beside a coral bommie in approx. 26 meters off Greta Beach, Christmas Island. It is rare for conditions to be suitable to shore dive this area. |
