Note | Glossy, heavy and handsome example of a lovely cone and a rare find on a Baja offshore island. The shell shows a glossy white body whorl decorated with rectangular blocks of bright orange and pale red. Amazing revolving color pattern and the shell displays a perfect natural lip. Collected by Scuba diver at night at 10-14 meters on sand off Isla Cayo, Sea of Cortez, Baja California Sur, Mexico in 7/2006. The specimen has one minor growth fold on the mid-dorsum, below the spire shoulder. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
