Note | Excellent large example of a getting harder to obtain Amoria species. The shell shows strong color, intricate blue/brown flammules generating a separated banding pattern. The specimen has medium weight, elongate morphology and a slender spire with a intact protoconch. The shell was taken by trawling at 80-120 meters off Bunker Island Group, Queensland, Australia in 2005. The shell exhibits a rough thin lip, chipping of the notch and loss of nacre quality mid-dorsally. Grade: F++. |
