Note | Superb and heavy example of this far North Pacific cold-water subspecies. Presents with intact protoconch, spire, aperture lip and siphonal canal. Lovely banding pattern as shown in the images with elegant form and ruffling of the varices. Collected by Scuba diver at 12-15 meters while feeding on a mussel bed at Posiet Bay, 100 miles south of Vladivostok, Russia. Amazing shell with a slightly worn protoconch with minimal areas of erosion on varix edges. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
