| Note | One very nice and giant(56 mm in maximum dimensions, world record size?) specimen of the rare cancellariid Trigonostoma tuberculosum. This specimen was recently collected washed ashore at a rocky beach in northern Chile. The specimen was very freshly dead, and it is in excellent condition for the species, with a nice spire and first whorls and a nice sculpture, with the sole exception of a bad lip, but all T. tuberculosum have a rough lip, and in this case the damage on the lip is only superficial (as can be seen in the images). This is a very rare species, seldom collected alive (or fresh dead), as they are naturally rare and they live in specific sandy spots among the rocky coast in northern Chile. This is your opportunity to obtain a rare species from the southeastern Pacific for a low price. |
