Name | Chama crenulata , Lamarck, 1819 |
Size | 40.2 mm |

Note | A BEAUTIFUL NICKLES CRENULATA FROM SENEGAL. Chama crenulata is endemic to West Africa and has been described in the literature from Senegal and Gabon. This is a large section along this sandy coast which has few substrates for species like Chama, all of which need hard objects to settle on. The present specimen is beautiful in its regular shape, with two rows of short, down-curved spines and two rows of regular brown stripes. One of the better crenulata seen in recent decades.
Senegal. Toubab Dialao. Dredged. 10-15 m.
