Item | # 0003364744 |
Family | Strombidae |
Name | Titanostrombus galeatus - RARE JUVENILE WOOOW!!!!! , (Swainson, 1823) |
Size | 47 mm |
Locality | Paraiso Escondido, Nay, Mexico. |
Note | RARE SPECIAL COLOR JUVENILE Strombus galeatus. It is almost impossible to find juveniles alive. I personally have never found one of this size alive. This specimen was found at extreme low tide between rocks and in an area of strong currents where some rare treasures like this one get stuck. Lip a bit repaired as this one is very fragile and was a bit damaged. The rest of the shell is in impeccable condition with a unique design of a white background combined with dark brown with spots, very thin zigzag stripes, a long spire and a fully intact apex. A great specimen to put aside the real fully adult Strombus galeatus. Paraiso Escondido, Bahia de Banderas, Nayarit, Mexico. February 2023. Value for this extremely rare Juvenile Strombus galeatus: 20-26 euro. MEXICO PACIFIC. Seller country is Germany please check shipping prices only with tracking number. Thank you and good luck! |
