Note | Exceptional specimen with phenomenal black lateral walls, black patterned dorsum with a wide and fading blue/grey dorsal line. The shell is very wide laterally, has a pitch black base and moderate to intense tuberculation of the anterior and posterior margins. One unique white/creme colored patch pops-out visually off the posterior extremity. The shell displays moderate rostration, phenomenal dark and wondrous thick black mottled dorsal pattern with intense integrated maculae. Flawless base, excellent nacre gloss and seamless extremities. Taken by Scuba diver Callum Edinger off Starvation Bay, West Australia in 1/2024 while dining on a Chondrilla sponge at 14 meters. Original hand written data slip from Callum included. The shell displays no visible anatomical defects or blemishes. Grade: GEM. |
