Note | An exceptionally large elongate specimen with an intense dorsal spotting and maculae pattern highlighted by dark brown spotting concentrated on the lateral walls and extremities. The impressive sienna/light brown blotching/patterning is painted over the entire cream white dorsum. The anterior extremity has a classic transverse groove and both extremities are richly pigmented, making this a standout specimen among most hesitatas. Collected by trawler off Disaster Bay, New South Wales, Australia at 60 meters in 11/2007. There are present some palpable minor wobbles on the posterior ramp. Grade F+++/GEM. |
