Note | Freshly collected "enchilada" specimen that shows an impressive blue patched dorsum and superb nacre gloss. The shell is very wide laterally, has a dark brown/black base with intense admirable spotting of the lateral walls. The shell displays moderate rostration, phenomenal dark and lovely mottled dorsal pattern with intense integrated maculae, fortified by the strong blue primary patching. Glossy base with excellent nacre shine and seamless extremities. Taken by expert Scuba diver Callum Edinger off Starvation Bay, West Australia in 1/2024 while feeding on a Chondrilla sponge at 6-8 meters. Original hand written data slip from Callum included, The shell displays a mini-wobble on the posterior ramp, columellar side. Grade: GEM minus. |
