I have decided to sell part of my collection which is around 40 years old. This cone was purchased in the late 1990s by a famous collector.
When purchased it was sold as a large specimen of conus gubernator form Leehmani.
Recently Monnier & Limpalaër described this species as new.
The shell is medium, the color closely resembles that of the holotype. The lip is good, just a small chip, the shell has only a small and slight growth in the lower part. Inviting starting price. For advanced collectors.
