Note | A superb specimen of this endemic New Caledonian species, with a spectacular, atypical pattern in which the white ground predominates, traversed by a few zig-zag axial streaks of pale pinkish orange, to striking aesthetic effect. Partially granulose external surface. Hypermature, with ultra-recurved siphonal canal. Retention of ultra-delicate, pin-point protoconch. Data: Passe de Dumbéa, off Dumbéa, Nouméa, South Province, Grande Terre, New Caledonia; upon fine coral sand/rubble substrate, near reef, at night; 50-60 m; dived; 1990s. Size: 50.3 mm. Grading: Gem.
