| Note | RARE SPECIAL ATTACHMENT!! Conus princeps usually produces a thick layer of periostracum all around. This particular species normally is coming with attachments of many types of ecosystems above the periostracum but very rarely you will find a very large Ostreidae species attached under the periostracum to its body, once in a lifetime! Something unique and special, especially in such a giant size with a length of 61mm the Conus princeps and the Ostrea palmula with 13mm. Specimens with this immense size usually come with natural defects and scars of life. Incredible fresh orange color, robust, very heavy, massive and very wide spire. A few pin holes, scars here and there do not detract from its unique beauty. The Ostrea palmula in exceptional condition with a beautiful purple coloration. The best combination with a special rarity. For advancer collectors. Found attached on big stones near corals between Isla Toriz and Malecon Melaque, Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico. March 2024.
