| Note | Attractive and superbly heavy example of this North Pacific cold-water subspecies. The rock shell shows an intact protoconch, spire and siphonal canal. Beautiful banding pattern that radiates off the body whorl to the wings as shown in the images with elegant form and ruffling of the backswept varices. Collected by Scuba diver at 15-20 meters while feeding on a mussel bed at Posiet Bay, south of Vladivostok, Russia, Sea of Japan. The specimen is in excellent condition, perhaps some miniscule imperfections. Grade: GEM minus. |
