NoteStunning candida collected from a brown basket sponge in 95 metres of water south of Twin Rocks off Esperance in May 2022. The shell is a fine example of the multiple horizontal rows of fine tan spots on a grey dorsum that are unique to lentigenosa. It has a cream base and margins with strong black spotting and siphon trim. The shell has an odd posterior siphon which is the result of it's columnar side being broken and the animal growing a new but less pronounced siphon lobe. Additional photos are available on request. It also has a single nacre pimple on it's labial dorsum. Not perfect but a great specimen of a hard to obtain friendii form. Fine++.
