Rare endemic ancillid found in depths of 170 to 250 metres of water off our south and lower west coast. Crabbed specimen ROV collected from 195 metres of water off Leeman in Western Australia during August 2024. As can be seen in the photos it has a hole in it's columnar side.
The shell is in top condition for a crabbed shell apart from the columnar venting! It has a a thick perfect lip and nice as alive colour.
