| Note | I consider this the best friendii I have collected. It was collected from a geodia sponge in 129 metres of water west of Margaret River during April 2015 and has resided in our collection ever since. Reluctantly extracted from the collection as we down size. The photos speak for themselves. It is a one of a kind but I consider it a hybrid between a friendii and a kostini. All aspects of the shell from it's dorsum, base and in particular it's margins are incredible. It is hard to believe a mollusca could produce such a beautiful shell. Graded Gem-/Gem to be conservative. |
