| Note | Super rare rosselli form. Found in April 2017 crawling on sand in a sponge garden in 142 metres of water south of Augusta. The shell has minor deep nacre windows (green arrows) and a healed tooth scrape (yellow arrow) on it's labial side as indicated in the photos. Both of these issues can only be seen with close inspection in reflected light. It addition it has a small well re-glazed chip in it's posterior siphon. Even with these the shell presents well. Given the ultra rare gem we price sells in the range 15,000 to 16,000 euro, this shell is good buying at this price. Fine++. |
