| Note | SPECIAL EXTRA WHITE COLOR!! Dark wood brown colors with extra white big dots around. Some time ago the information on this species was confused between tiny white dots around. Conus brunneus and Connus brunneus andrangae and confusion as a synonym of Conus bartschi. It was said that specimens with more white spots and higher nodules are C. brunneus andrangae and specimens with darker or absent white spots were C. brunneus brunneus. So far it is confusing to me after many years of collecting this species that some populations are completely uniformly colored only brown with special and classic shape of Conus brunneus and others with very white spots and even different body shapes. A very big difference. Perhaps it should be studied further. See pictures!! Spire white with natural conditions and erosion, Apex intact. Seldom seen species and conditions. F+++-Gem.
