| Note | HIGHLY IMPORTANT SPECIMEN: One of the GREATEST known examples of the species, this FAMOUS and incredible GIANT of the ‘oceanic’ form was a previous WORLD RECORD SIZE specimen. At the astonishing size of virtually 73 MM, it makes all supposed ‘giants’ appear small in comparison. The specimen is illustrated as fig.a; pl.323; p.317 in 'Australia’s Spectacular Cowries' – an enormously important and desirable ‘value added’ aspect of the specimen, as to own ANY Zoila featured in ‘THE BOOK’ is a goal of all dedicated Zoila connoisseurs. As the experience of every collector in the world, (save those few who have owned one of the three WRS specimens), is to consider examples of 65-68 mm ‘giant’, to hold the current specimen in the hand comes as a revelation. Incredibly beautiful colours. Spectacular ultra-high margins. Exceedingly high dorsum, lending the specimen an even greater sense of massivity than its length suggests. Hypermature: ultra-solid and heavy, with incredible weight to size ratio. Ultra-expansive ventrum.
